SERMONS
Serve the Lord!
Sermon on the 2nd Sunday after Pentecost
Text: Joshua 24:1-3a, 14-25
This Sunday has us returning to the “Semi-continuous” Old Testament readings, but because the assigned lectionary reading for this Sunday (from 1 Samuel) was one we heard in worship back during the season of Epiphany (the call of Samuel), we went back to a scripture passage that we did not hear last fall when we returned to the “Complementary” readings. So our series picked up with Joshua, with whom we had left off in the fall.
